Guidance for school

There are many ways to help students with dysgraphia.

Strategies are divided into three categories:

  • Modifications: changing expectations or tasks to minimize or avoid the area of weakness (included: attitude that teachers have to have (2.1) and inclusive methodologies (2.2.)

  • Accommodations: providing alternatives to written expression (included: Compensatory strategies (2.3)

  • Treatment: providing instruction for improving handwriting and writing skills (see: information for parents 3.)
